Wolfgang Riege (born 1939) [1]

Born in Hamburg, Riege did an apprenticeship as a gardener and then worked as a policeman. Since his retirement, he has devoted himself to building reliefs. This allowed him to combine his artistic talent, which he also demonstrated through sculpture work, with his love of nature. In addition to regions of Germany, he has always enjoyed depicting landscapes of the Swiss Alps in relief. A great concern for him is to avoid an exaggerated representation. Today he lives in Ravensburg (Germany).
