Abraham Ringier (1855–1938) [1]
Ringier was cartographer at the Federal Topographical Bureau from 1872 to 1929. He received various international awards for his cartographic work, for example at the Paris World’s Fair in 1900. He was also active in the 1880s in surveying the Rhone glacier. In his free time, he undertook various tours in the Swiss Alps.
